I have a 96 K2500 and the frame underneath the box has seen better days. I am from North East PA - and the road salt does wonders on frames - as I am sure many know..
I came across a frame from a 97 c3500 (from Arizona) which is in perfect condition.
The c3500 is a crew cab, and my k2500 is a regular cab...
They both are 8 foot boxes, and from the rear cab mount back, they both look identical - I think.

What I want to do is cut the rear off of the c3500 frame and weld it onto my k2500...

Does anyone know if these frames are the same - under the box, from the rear cab mount back?

From what I have seen on the frames is the rear part is the same width but under the cab is 1 inch wider on the 4wd models.
