95 sierra 5.7 to 5.3 swap ?'s

Ive been doing some research on how to swap a 5.3 dbc into my 95. Doesn't seem to hard at all, but I want your guys opinion on the harness side of things. I'm trying to save money by making my own harness, so should I integrate the ls harness into my stock fuse block? Or just make a stand alone harness?
