94 Silverado front differential in a 99 Suburban

Will the front differential out of a 94 K1500 Silverado work in my 99 K1500 Suburban? My front is on its way out and I can get one out of a 94 from a buddy. Just didn't want to get it tore down and find out it won't work. Any insight is appreciated.

@Biggershaft96 any thoughts? I know you recently swapped your front diff.

Yes ratios are the same and much lower mileage than my current one.

I would think all the half tons are have the same basic front diff, Blazer/Tahoe, Yukon and the K1500 Suburbans and pickups.

That's my theory as well, but trying to avoid an oh crap moment midway through the project.

It should bolt right in. Only thing that may be different is the plug for the actuator. I'd just swap out the actuator.
