I just finished my LS swap and I'm pretty sure the rear end is about to go. When I'm hard on the throttle and it down shifts from 2nd to 1st and starts to pull I get a violent shake it almost feels like wheel hop. I was told my best option is to find a 12 bolt? And then do the gears and axles so what I need to know is what vehicles I can find this rear end in? I want to stay with drum brakes to fit my 15" wheels.

I would just find a 14bolt semi floater with 9.5" ring gear. It's a direct swap and can be found in 1500hd 4x4 or 2500ld 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive

    Check your local salvage yard

And those would all have drum brakes? I'm pretty sure my 15" wheels won't clear one with disc

I haven't put 10 miles on it yet. It hasn't even been tuned yet.. the more I think about it though it could be some pretty bad axle wrap

They should all be drum brake. Not sure if they'll clear 15" wheels
