If the front axle assembly has been apart, start there. I would look at the disconnect assembly. Is the shift fork bent? Or is it even engaged on the sliding sleeve properly? Or the actuator for the posi lok, is it still connected to the shift fork?

Turned out the problem was that the posi lok needed to be waaaayyy more adjusted to allow for the pin to be be almost fully extended. It seems that when I pull the cable to engage the posi lok, it keeps slipping from the eye bolt that it is latched onto. Will have to figure out a way to prevent this from happening in the future.
