4L60E stall help

i have a 97 C1500 pickup with the 5.7 vortec and a 4L60E.. i bought a B&M 2400 holeshot stall converter but when it came in it had on the box that said use for 93-96.. it will not fit 97 and later models.. I could of swore it said my year model online. Will it still work on my truck? What makes the 97 different?

It should work but i belive 97 and up trannys have a sensor or something that detects slips and such. I forget exactly what its called but i ran into the same question when getting a converter from orileys. Hopefully someone else will chime in to explain it further.

I finally got a reply back from B&M and they said it will work so guess we'll see! Lol

VERY VERY important install a Trans cooler or you will overheat or burn up your Trans in no time meaning only because of your stall converter.
