Ok so I know that you will have to trim the lower control arm with 2" drop spindles, but does any one have pics of this and does it weaken the lca any. I am doing this drop soon and want to run some 454 ss rims with astro center caps.

Only trim whats needed off of the "rain gutter", and no it won't weaken the arm.

...Not my truck, and not this much.

LOL @ that trimmed LCA in BHB's post above......looks like a few beavers nawwed it down


I run a 4/6 drop with Sport wheels & 225/75/15's and have no issues at all.


As for the trimming
don't trim until you have the wheels you plan to run with the drop.
Trim a little at a time and be prepared to trim & mount the wheels several times before getting the clearance you need to make those full lock left & right turns.
