So I have been told that if you swap for 3/4 ton torsion bars it will equal a bit of lift... Does anyone know how much? And does anyone know if this is all 3/4 tons or only certain ones?? Like I have looked at them and they don't look much different...

I don't know the amount it will add or level. It is not how they look, they are like spring steel. It is in the amount of tension in the steel that make the twist bring the truck up.

I believe the hex diameter can be different and maybe the length. Make sure you measure these 2 parts before buying a set for your truck.

each bar is set for a different GVWR, the bars that everyone swaps out are GK bars. I'm looking for some right now

doesnt that make it ride alot stiffer though? since the 3/4 bars were prob made to hold up alot more weight. esp with a diesel if those are any different from just a gaser 3/4 ton

Ya it probably is a little rougher but I dont care its probably better than cranking....I just wanna know how to tell them apart since I already have a set of torsion bars out of a 3/4 ton gas truck

The bars all have two letter names. GK bars will have a tag that says GK on it.

The only difference between the bars is spring rate.

A higher spring rate will be a stiffer srping (or torsion bar) this means that if you "crank" it beyond factory height it will sag less than a light duty bar. It will also ride "smoother" because instead of wallowing around it will be stiffer on the road, especially since cranking totally changes the design angles of the suspension.

All the torsion bars for these model years are the same size EXCEPT the tahoe bars are a couple inches shorter.

Hope this helps.
