according to the manual, 3.73 can tow 8000, 4.10s can tow 10000lbs.

Correct. It's an option if it didn't get checked on the order you get 3.73s

The day i bought my truck i drove it back from florida to middle tn about 6.5 hours with close to 9000 lbs on it and its a ccsb with 350 4l80 and 3.73 gears and 224000 and it did good, i am definitely planning on swapping to 4.10 or 4.56 because it will tow around 6000 lbs pretty regularly but if it was just occasionally i wouldn't worry about it, just know it's not going to win any races off of a red light or up a hill but once your at highway speed it does pretty good
