1999 L31 Misfiring

Cylinders # 5 and # 7 are next to each other in the firing order. I would change the distributor cap and rotor, since you have done it a few years ago.
Just bought Ac Delco cap and rotor this morning. I'll throw them on after I get out of college today. Hope that clears her up.

rotor button looked a little rough.

Runs better but still misfired some going to work.

On the way home I didn't feel it misfire one bit, so I don't know of it was a fluke or what. Obviously the rotor button was in bad shape and was part of the issue.

Yes, I would tend to agree that it was part of the problem. What did the cap look like?

That may not be the whole problem, but see what it is like in the next while.

The contacts on the cap were worn too. May just take a little bit of driving for everything to adjust. I'm not thinking plugs or wires would be part of it bc it's not really any one cylinder. May be time to replace the coil possibly if it continues giving issues.

Spray starting fluid around your vacuum hose look for leaks . See if the rpm increases.
Is your brake booster hissing? Vacuum leak again.
PCV valve faulty , vacuum leak
Test your egr valve see if it gets better by unplugging it .
Clean your maf.
Whats your fuel pressure? Pump going out?
Bad exhaust leaks false ,lean conditions.
Is your intake manifold leaking , coolant in the cylinders.
Are any plugs cranked? Wires burnt?
