Update on the truck.

I've been searching for wheels, as much I preferred Tahoe Limited, but not for $450 for the set. I settled for these wheels. I bought the center caps from 04silvy and looks good than having the common center cap on these sort of wheels.

Truck rolled over 237k and still rocking, got some problem I'm chasing and getting it taken care of one at a time.

Rear shocks, apparently the shock bolt came loose, then the shock mount sheared off. I went on to return them and swapped out for Gabriel Max Control. Rides nice, not too soft or too stiff. I got the drop height back, although the driver side was lower than the passenger side. So with adjustable drop shackle, I raised the driver side up a notch and now rear levels out evenly.

Idler pulley took a dump on me, fortunately I was just a mile away from O Reilly, walked there right before it closes for the night, bought idler pulley, belt tensioner, new belt, and back to driving I go.

I came across a local Tint Guy and wanted to have my rear windows tinted. Removed old one, put 3% in, waited a week, then another 3% (.009%). I'm happy with the result, it's bit more mirror-like than I thought, but I'm happy nonetheless.

Put in new spark plugs, plug wires. Ready to swap out distributor, cap and rotor, then ICM after that.

Replaced steering gear box, idler pulley assembly again, right inner and outter tie rod and alignment taken care of, nice not having drunk steering anymore.

3% Tint.

2nd 3% Tint.

The side window tint are unknown but it's pretty light(came with the truck like that), probably 50% or so, I've had 35% and it definitely was bit darker than that.

My lady now doesn't like driving the truck with the dark mirror behind us. It's an excuse to get another vehicle I suppose.

Starter went out. Based on this thread, I decide to try out the 1999 Silverado 4.3 Starter.

Lo and Behold. Fits like it's meant to be. According to my hearing people, no grind, whine, and sounds great at every start up.

Cost $60 more than the original.

Well, it's been a quite of a year for the truck since and more to come.

Fuel pump was replaced with Delphi fuel pump.

Rear window got broken during repair, said good bye to double 3% tint.

New rear window came with 20%, had 5% tint installed, front windows had old tint which then is replaced with 20%.

New windshield replaced, had the tint guy put 50% put on prior installation. Looks good all around, I'd probably go darker but not going to have the tint guy remove the tints and put darker ones on yet.

Fuel pressure regulator replaced.

30x9.5x15 Falken Wildpeaks A/T, I'm pleased with them.

Regular cab high brake mount lense are not common around here. I got the extended cab version, trimmed it shorter to fit.

Replaced parts of front end suspension as well as steering gear box, re-pack wheel bearings, alignment. Although apparently the AutoZone steering box isn't good so I need to warranty replace it again. I'll have to get upgrade one later one but it'll do for now.
