This is my 1994 Cheyenne pickup that I've driven and owned since 2004. Then it originally had a 4.3L V6, 4L60E, and 3.08 gears. The idea of building this truck to what it is now was that I had bought one wrecked Camaro Z28s and one slightly damaged and stripped Z28.
The wrecked Z28 was stripped of its LT1, T56, and leather seats and the rest of it was sold off and the body scrapped and the other car sold off.
Dropped the LT1 and T56 into the truck with the factory Z28 radiator for test fitting the truck headers and radiator mounts.
Then cut a hole in the floor that was almost to crooked to mount a universal boot and mount. And then I routed the new PSI harness from the glovebox through the firewall and to the engine.
Then had to bend the throttle pedal to work with the LT1 B-body throttle cable. Also had to make a support bracket to hold the clutch pedal assembly as there was no factory mount as some automatic trucks may come with later.
Then made a small -AN line for the clutch hydraulic line connecting factory truck master cylinder to the Z28 slave cylinder.
And I drilled the factory pre stamped holes that all trucks come with and apparently mine was stamped sideways.
Then it was on to the fuel system were I wired in a Aeromotive 340 pump and ran from the factory hard lines with -AN lines to LT1 hardliners connected via push lock adaptors.
Then I cut a hole in the frame to clear the 1LE a/c delete pulley. Added 1 ⅝in ceramic headers, made my own exhaust from the headers 3in to a Flowmaster merge pipe to a single 4in outlet.
Also added a SLP air foil, CSR electric water pump, EGR removed, eBay elbow, Spectre air filter also went and had the OBD2 computer tuned by Motorvation. Then I rebuilt the 8.5 with a eBay posi differential, 4.11 gears, main cap studs, and 10.5in rear disc brakes.
Then went to a dyno day.
Made 296hp and 328ft lbs.
Now it's finished lowering it with DJM flip kit, 2in drop lower front arm s, and 2in front drop springs and clearance the inner fender lips to clear the 285mm tires.
