My 1990 K2500 randomly pops out 2 wheel high while I'm drive on the street. It started a few months ago and is getting worse. How can I fix that?

If it’s not the linkage... which in my opinion,it’s not likely. Its the shift forks inside the t case. They get wear on them with high mileage... even if you did not use four wheel drive. There is plastic sleeve things that slide onto the shift forks... they are replaceable.

When I had trouble with my '88 K1500 transfer case popping out of gear, the shop overhauled the transfer case. I believe red97K1500 is right, the shift fork plastic pads wear out--possibly due to old/contaminated lube in the transfer case.
