I have a 1989 silverado n i wanted to know since the phantom grill is designed for this yea of my truck do the lights need to be recessed back more or just cut the grill n put the insert on it? I want to make it look llike this nice n flush

Never messed with one myself, but I've seen others say that the lights need to be moved back.

Yea ive seen that too but those that said the lights need to be moved have the composite headlights i have the dual quad sealed beam n they already are far back so yea i was wonderin

Its an insert i havent found a full grill assembly so i was just planning on buying the black grill cut it colormatch it and install the insert. It seems likee dats all i have to do because i have these quad headlights

Mine needed to be recessed. Pain in the ass to get the whole thing flush.
