14 bolt swap question

Has anyone swapped an older 14 bolt ff into their z71 with the 6 lug hub conversion? I have a question....

I have never done a conversion on a GMT 400 but I do believe the perches are wider on the GMT 400's as compared to the 73-87 GM trucks. I do have both a 1/2 ton Tahoe and 3/4 ton Suburban GMT 400 along with a 74 Chevy K20 so I may be able to answer your question as far as swapablility but nothing regarding the six lug conversion.

Perches on a 73-87 axle are perpendicular ( 90 degrees ) to the axle tubes.

Perches on a GMT400 are wider, set at an angle on the axle tubes, and the lower caps are specific to each side, left and right.

I am not familiar with a 6 lug conversion on a full floater, however you would have to use wheels with a large center hole if that is the case.
