I would defiantly like to see pictures! And a list of everything needed once you have it all figured out. I've done a good bit of research and it all still seems kinda choppy lol

I just got the final pieces in today. But i have a feeling I'm going to be needing a couple more parts. and making a few trips to my buddies shop to make a couple brackets and have some stuff welded. Hopefully i can work on it this weekend.

I grabbed a SF 14bolt out of a 02 GMC 2500 that already had disc brakes. I rebuilt it with all new parts, welded new spring perches on and shock mounts and installed 6lug 14bolt axles I got out of a axle in the junkyard. I put a 1/4" wheel spacer on the hub before I put 02 1500 rear disc on. And I'm using the duel pistons calipers that came on the 2500 which are the same calipers they put in the front on the gmt800 1500's

Sorry it's been awhile since I did my swap the 6 lugs axle shafts from the 9.5 gmt400 where direct swap for the gmt800 axle. I used 02 1500 rear rotors with 1/4" space BEHINED the rotors to put the rotors center in the 3/4ton cailpers

I have a six lug 14bsf. Want discs. Have no clue what I need to make all this happen. I can't machine spacers, I don't have a welder.

I just completed this Disc brake Swap this weekend, however, my 16" factory wheels will not fit over the caliper.

You say your running 16" wheels with yours?

And this would definatly not work with 15" rims I have 16" classic 2's and the is about 1/4" of clearence between the rim and caliper.

Does anyone have a swap like this but for keeping factory drum in rotor conversion and keeping 8 lugs?
