Need advice on rear end.

Hey all, So I was doing the drums on my 96 k1500 today and noticed there's some axial play in the axles. I don't recall if there's supposed to be or not. It's a 14 bolt, btw. Measured with my caliper, the passenger side moves in and out about .035" which seemed excessive to me. The driver's...

Drive train / Pinion yoke Question please help

Good evening, I recently had a minor accident where my drive shaft came off while going 70 on the freeway. After getting my 1500 back home I took a closer look and my drive shaft came from the pinion yoke due to one of the U-joint needle bearings falling off. I have provided pictures of this. So...

Rear end id? please help.

Hello I have a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe 2 dr, 2wd, vortec 350. i have made some improvements to the engine and now i want to add a locker to the rear end, BUT i am lost! i really cant identify the rear end in this thing. does anybody know which rear end this is? the cover says Spicer on it. Pic...

G80 CARRIER QUESTIONS

I HAVE THE G80 IN MY 96 C1500 WITH FACTORY 3.42 GEARS, BUT I ALSO BOUGHT SOME RICHMOND 4.10 GEARS. WILL RICHMOND KIT WORK WITH MY G80 WITHOUT ANY SHIMS OR WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY A NEW DIFFERENT CARRIER UNIT?

14 bolt SF vs FF

I need to do the gear oil and gasket on my 96 C2500 8 lug. How do I tell the difference between the semi-float and full float so I know what gasket to get? Here's some pics of my RPO codes and rear dif.
