Recommend a easy install reliable remote start

I assumed it was hard wired, but thought maybe it just might utilize the factory signal. Thanks for the info. Did I see where you're a dealer for these. I'm thinking about just a basic unit for start and keyless entry.

Recommend a easy install reliable remote start

@Wh4t3v3rs you seem very knowledgeable so I thought I'd ask, with my existing keyless entry, would the viper remote program the same as a factory fob? Or does it just hard wire to operate door locks.

    Aftermarket Rear Defroster

Interested to hear how this works out. I've already got a Tahoe heater control, in my crew cab, with the rear defrost switch so I'm already looking for the wiring on how to incorporate it into the factory style switch.

    Kodiak/topkick exterior handle rods

I'd buy all new clips to hold the rods in. They're generic and can be bought at a parts store.

Bought some clips for the maglite, but it's too long to fit where others had placed it on the side of the seat. Thought about putting it on the B pillar behind the driver's seatbelt, but decided to go with this instead. Also installed one of the overhead consoles I picked up. Went pretty...

Scored some more goodies at the junk yard today. Had ordered new handles this week and now I have the rods. Hoping to get the handles in this week. Not sure which of the OHC I will use, but most likely going to sell one pretty cheap, with the rear controls.

    Heater Hose Connector

I have a mechanic friend that would soak a drill bit in grease and drill it out to the thread's minor dimension and then use a tap, again soaked in grease, and chase the threads. The grease should hold the majority of the chips.

Which extractor did you buy? I used this one but I had to smack it in pretty hard. Turned out though. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/LIS0/62200/N1679.oap?ck=Search_N1679_-1_-1&pt=N1679&ppt=C0374

It didn't seem like those doors could use them anymore...really, I did that truck a favor. Honestly I had just bought and received new handles from RockAuto earlier this week. Scored kodiak style door handles

The pawl for the HD handle sticks out further to get it out of the way of the handle rod. My plan was to cut the old one and just weld a longer piece from the base that mounts to the lock cylinder to where the rod connects. Then I found this gem...
