I just ran the wire from the pcm through the firewall behind the dash. The momentary switch is the square one. It has two prongs on the back, one is for the wire from pcm and the other I just grounded to the framework behind the dash. It's really a straight forward install. I just took my...
AdvanceAuto always has promo codes to use online. Spend a little extra and get one with a good warranty as stated above.
I always go overkill when replacing parts so I went with an all aluminum 2 core. RadiatorExpress has fair prices and has been in business for a long time. I ended up gambling...
How did the plugs look? There are actually quite a few possibilities for the misfire code. I would say a large percentage of the misfire issues are leaking intake gaskets. Some have been worn dizzy gears. And of course plugs, wires, and plugs which you probably have already eliminated. Mine was...
Are you sure the tow/haul is activated in the computer? Granted mine is hooked up to a momentary switch, but the button can't be depressed more than 1/2 a second. It's really quick.

Sorry for the late response. Busy busy time of year.
It may seem like an unnecessary modification if you're not going to dig into the motor, run boost, or spray. BUT, if you can find somebody good to fine tune your truck, then it will be worth the money and time to do the swap. It felt like I...
OEM, Monroe, Rough Country, Rancho, Bilsteins…I've run em' all. Bilsteins all the way, on and off road. But by off-road I don't mean rock crawling or anything. Just mild stuff.

I drove mine for a couple months before getting it tuned. Lextech's base tune was very good for my basically stock motor. After I got my volant intake and Doug Thorleys I took it to Bobby at Clear Lake Speed to have him work his magic. His tuning is a little pricier than some, but he is one of...
When I did my swap my engine was basically stock. Didn't even have headers at the time. I was even sucking in hot engine compartment air. After the swap the very first thing I noticed was how smooth the idle was. The throttle response was noticeably better also. And I picked up 1.8 mpg. It will...
Messin around at the Frio river. Felt good to finally get this thing out on some uneven ground. Everything is so damn flat around here it's depressing.
My tuner said when he tried the relearn that the speedo was registering something when it shouldn't. Maybe the VSS is bad?

I went ahead an ordered the Superlift 34000 ABS Recalibrator. I am running out of time before I have to get the truck inspected so I guess I will throw parts at it. I'll update after install.
I did my 0411 swap a few months ago and just now got around to having it custom tuned. I am having problems getting the crank relearn done for one reason or another. I'm thinking it will not work because the ABS light is on. I have 4.56 gears so the VSS is reading a different speed than the...
You're gaining the ability to increase line pressure with less effort. Doesn't necessary mean you will be increasing line pressure exponentially every time you step on the brake. Also the line pressure is still distributed as before. There have been quite a few people who have done this upgrade...
If you haven't done anything yet, I would recommend just going with spacers. I have some cheap ebay 2.5" aluminum spacers in mine and am pleased with the ride. Camber was horrible though so that's when I got the Doetsch control arms. I have 3" lift coils for the front but I don't think I'm...
Front end is just a little stiffer than stock. I prefer that over the squishy feel these biggins had from the factory.

Drop spindles and coils move everything closer to the frame so there is no need to modify brake hoses. But lifting the truck via suspension moves everything away from the frame. I unbolted the bracket that holds the line to the frame to get some extra length before I upgraded to extended...
Yeah, I just used stock replacement MOOG ball joints. After the 4" spindles and 2.5" spacer my camber was horrible. The UCA fixed that. Alignment is perfect now. And I'm running 35X12.50-15 now with just a slight rub when I hit a bump and the wheel is turned just right.

Upgrading to the NBS master cylinder and 1-ton calipers gave me a much better pedal. I just recently installed braided lines and felt an immediate improvement. I don't know if that was because the rubber hoses were just old or braided is better.
I have their UCA's. The arms they sell are actually made by Doetsch. They are of very good quality. I have not installed the springs yet for the fear that my burb will ride like shat. Right now I just have the 2.5" metal coil spacer in.

Granted I have a GMC grille, I could have mounted my lights about an inch higher if needed. I really wanted to put one long light bar behind the grille stretching all the way across but that just isn't...

I get all my LED stuff from these guys. They have great customer service and their product is high quality.
Actually haven't put it back on yet lol. It was late so I'm finishing up today. I still need to throw a layer of paint on the raw metal and clean up the wiring. I will post a finished pic in a few hours if I can get off the couch.
