Thanks for your in depth response. Based on this information, i may just fix up the current dump bed and fab removeable walls. Yeah it has the i beam up front and a 2.5 ton in back. From what i've read, these trucks came with a factory dana 80 in the back and some had the Rockwell c103. I...

I bought a 1992 GMC 3500HD recently with a dump box, but id like to source a dually box. I'm just wondering if all boxes have the same bolting pattern on the frame 1500-3500HD? Obviously short and long box will be different. Does anyone know the actual bolt pattern for lets say a 1500 long box...
