Low voltage at fuel pump

I have a 1989 k1500, I’m trying to figure out how to test the voltage to the fuel pump. I used a volt meter connected to the pump ground to test the harness that plugs into the pump but I’m a little confused. I tested the the purple wire in the harness and it only showed 8 volts so I figured...

Chevy 350 won’t idle

I have a 1989 k1500 with a 350 in it that won’t idle. I’ve replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the ground for the fuel pump (which is relatively new), new spark plugs, new pcv valve. The truck almost always starts but never fails to die. It might run for two seconds or it might run for 2 minutes...
