Pretty sure the 1-2 accumulator has gone bad. Ordered one that was supposed to fit but it doesn’t. Have searched everywhere and can’t find the entire accumulator that will fit this vehicle. Part # 24214038, 24226359, 24219937 and 24219935 are all I can find and none work. And every site I search...

Transmission control solenoid end crumbled. Replaced it, new harness, new shift solenoid . Now no reverse at all. It literally gets worse with every new part

Tore everything back apart. Checked all solenoids and the wiring harness. Put everything back together, cleared codes test drove and no change. Now along with the original codes it’s throwing code 12. Not sure how the distributor would fit into this equation but seems like the more we fix the...

They were Rostra parts and had to drive a town over to get them. Pulling it all apart again today to check everything again. Hopefully I can find the gremlin.

I know what the codes are just not sure why I’m getting them when the parts for the codes have been replaced. This is the first time I have dove into trans repairs and they are frustrating to say the least.

Bought a code scanner today and it’s throwing a 81 and 82 code. Looked online and I’m seeing those codes are for the solenoids that were just replaced. Is it possible the new solenoids were bad or I’m I looking for another problem?

Thanks for the response. I don’t have a OBD-1 scanner. Only a OBD2. Checked local parts houses and they don’t use them either. Seems like every time he replaces a part it gets a little worse ‍♂️‍♂️

Working on my sons 94 1500 4x4 5.7 with auto transmission. Started not wanting to shift out of first unless you let off the gas or manually shifted. He has changed the throttle position sensor, vehicle speed sensor, both shift solenoids, new fluid and filter and now it won’t shift out of first...
