, have I really put on nearly 6000 miles since I last was on here? God that seems like an aweful lot. Installed my fog lights and wired em up to my OEM fog switch. Probably gonna get different fog lights or driving lights and replace the current ones cause the current ones can only tilt so far...

Wow. Haven't been on in forever. Still don't have a right mirror. I need to just give in and buy a new one. I'll get pulled over one of these days because of it knowing the great state of WI's law enforcement only enforce traffic and automotive laws. Panzies. Had a loud engine knock after...

Ouch. Found out the heated mirror plugs and the truck plugs are nothing alike. I just figured they were the same and the truck had 4 blank slots. Sh*t. Going to the junk yard to pull some harness' outta a 98 Denalli that SHOULD have heated power mirrors and see if I can make my own pigtail to...

I'm in the same boat. Well, not sure bout that whole driving school thing but I had a lil bit of an accident right after getting my license. Doesn't help at all. And yeah, its young men like us that make sure insurance agents get a hefty Christmas bonus.

Got my clear corners and heated mirrors in the mail! Hell yes! Just need to put "sealant" on the lenses and I think I already got the heated mirror wiring figured out. Orange wire is straight up 12v and the black is ground. Yes? Don't wanna figure out I'm wrong when I have everything torn apart.

Already got 1000 miles put on in one week. Usually I put on 350. There was a slight ticking coming from under the hood when I got the RPMs up while driving in the city. It seems to go away here and there. I'm thinking its just cause this truck isn't used to long trips. As long as nothings broke...

Mmmm... flex. lol Lovin' the woods rig idea. Always wanted a second truck with a long box for beating around in the woods. Can't do that to my DD, I love her too much.

    88GMCtruck's 99 6.5L Towpig slow build.

Junk yard or straight from the dealership? I don't want to turn my truck into a christmas tree but I've always like the simplicity and look of dually clearance lights. Curious where ya got it.

Tweaked my EQ (the very vague selection given by most aftermarket stereos) and my 6x9's thump hard without having to crank the volume. I like it. Still think I'm gonna put 8" subs in the back come winter. I have my classes scheduled, books somewhat ordered and I have roughly 12 hours of class a...

Got a gauge cluster from the junk yard yesterday and swapped it out with mine. It was the tachometer stepper motor. New one works like a champ. While I had everything torn apart, I wired in my OEM fog switch and decided I wanted a lil bit more outta life. I fabbed up an led that plugged into...

I had actually ran a set of wires that I could plug my speaker wire into that ran all the way to the back of the bed, so I could play at least one 6x9 with my topper on. In all honesty, it was a last minute "hey, could you bring your speakers to a bonfire in a blizzard?" cobble job, but it...

Oh shnapp. I forgot to mention an idea I had last night. I have my 6x9 speaker setup that I can sit ontop of my toolbox for bonfires. Well, in winter, I have my topper on (call me an old foggie, but it serves its purpose) and thus I can no longer set my speakers on my toolbox. Plus, most...

Got a bug up my ass today. Not gonna mow the lawn (4 hour project) and instead I'm gonna do a lil bit here and there on my truck. Gonna prime and paint the hood lip cause shes rustin'. Probs from stagnant water inbetween the lip and the grille. Gonna take the EGR valve off and rinse it with...

Holy sh*t. I haven't been on here in forever. I don't miss it though. OBS Obsession on Facebook gets questions answered faster and at times it has less small talk and bullsh*t than on here. The forum is good for finding write-ups and getting ideas. Only thing I hate about OBS Obsession is it...

Tailgate latch/activator arms disconnected again. God damn truck. The one time I actually needed to drop the tailgate and it locks up. Could be worse. I could have a tailgate that keeps falling off. Knock on wood. The SES lights stays on now. Should do my headers sometime soon. F*ck this truck...

Bad news though: shes been throwing the same codes VERY OFTEN lately and I think I might have to either take it to a shoppe or have some friends help me out. Its throwing "Cylinder 5 misfire", "EGR Malfunction" (mind you, I cleaned my old one, and then just bought a higher end replacement and...

    Fog light placement

UPDATE: Never got around to buying those lights. However, I have in my possession an OEM fog light switch for a 95-99 GMT-400... and its retrofitted to match the rest of the dash. So I'm that much closer to putting fogs on. The game plan is to get some Blazer's from a local parts store and...

Thinking about ordering some clear corners for my truck. I think that'll give it a major different look. Plus everything else on my truck besides my taillights are either chrome, black, or teal. Why not clean it up with some clear (which have that shiney stainless steel/chromey look to them)...

Mudflaps work again. Had a bug up my ass yesterday and so I decided to pull my drive-tire mudflap off and see if I could fix it. As expected, the connector was corroded all to hell and broke off in my fingers. I soldered the wires the best I could and wrapped em with electrical tape. Once they...

    1994 GMC K2500 light duty

Perhaps that's why I love the colo(u)r. The 88-94 dash was also made to accommodate aftermarket switches, better than the 95+ IMO. The rectangles under the headlamp switch and the HVAC in 88-94 dashes are PERFECT for toggle or rocker switches. Oh my goodness! I've NEVER seen an...

    1994 GMC K2500 light duty

I love the paint color! And the interior is immaculate! I've never cared for the 88-94 interior but I can't say I've ever seen one that was that clean or in gray. Very cool. I'm definitely gonna keep tabs on my conservative friend's project.

Still waiting for the Avalanche. I think I'll work on the volume/seek and the prog/source/onstar buttons tomorrow night. I'm sick of vehicles. Today was Tractor Day at school and I got to use my speaker setup, which was nice. But what do I get to do when I'm done at 11 o'clock? Help a friend...

    1993-Sierra-Z71's Slow Build Thread

That's sad to hear, but understandable. There is only so much you can do with what you have and there is a point in a truck's life where its clearly gone over the hill. By all rights though, if you take out even one piece of it when she finally croaks (or its time for her to hang up her hat)...

Once its done I suppose I could take some and post em. Mind you, my camera is sh*t. I'd have pictures of all the LED work I've done to my truck if it weren't for the fact they look like a blob of light when I take a picture of them in the best conditions possible. All I did was put cool white...

Worked on LEDs for the Avalanche tonight (Quick Specs: 2006 Charcoal gray (another word for light black) Chevy Avalanche without any molding or side plastics.). What a *****! AH! So frustrated! The first one went in so smoothly and if I would have read the write-up I found properly, I wouldn't...
