    Cab Mount Replacement Procedure

    When I try to attain 55 ft. lbs. on 3 out of the 6 body mounts, the lower cushion gets distorted. I even called Energy Suspensions to discuss. I decided to reclean the bot threads and torque the 3 trouble makers to the 'point of no return'. Thanks for the advice !

    The Energy Suspension cushions are great. However, I am having a difficult time torqueing 3 of the 6 body mount bolts to specs without "squishing" a the bottom cushions. So...it is absolutely imperative to achieve 55 lbs. on every one ? Should I tighten them until the "squish factor" reveals...

    1996 k1500 frame work: help

    Well after talking with a tech from Rust Buster this afternoon (thanks Jason) I got my answer: the square hole belongs on the passenger side (facing the front cab). I still don't know the purpose for it.

    Spare Tire Crossmember 1996 K1500

    I happen to agree. I just installed a near mint crossmember and while doing I had to push the frame rails out about a half inch to fit it in. Without that crossmember I'd have no way to know the rails were that much 'out'.

    1996 k1500 frame work: help

    I am installing an oem spare tire crossmember. There is a square hole cut into the one end. Since I'm unsure of the orientation, does it matter whether this lands on the driver's side rear or passenger side forward ? What is its purpose ? Bottom line, will the crossmember fit only one way...
