    Headers or iron manifolds?

    Both. The wires have burnt from touching the header even with the protective sheaths on them. A boot burnt from radiant heat.

    I had an issue with my truck throwing a code 43 right at startup. Apparently there are 2 different knock sensors for these trucks. The one you posted is the white one, which is what I had. I replaced it with the black one and it fixed my issue. This is just a thought

    My truck has headers and have nothing but a hassle with burning plug wires. I do not recommend them.

    I don’t have a obd1 scanner. I don’t hear any noises. I replaced the pigtail I replaced the temp sensor because I saw where it could cause the issue. I replaced the ecm because I read where it might not be advancing the timing to test the knock sensor
