    1999 Gmc seats to a 1996 Suburban K1500

Isn't the 99 Suburban/Tahoe the GMT800 body style? I had a 2004 and I always thought the 99 was the same... Edited: Never mind, I don't know what I was thinking!

    Front Splash Shield

I wish I would have read this thread before I went to the treasure yard. The inner fender I got had one on it, so I spent about 30-minutes looking at all the GMT400 trucks to see if any had the driver side one! My truck did not come with that splash shield in front of the passenger side wheel...

    Rear Speakers

If the panel clips are rotted out, that would be a blessing... I found a bunch still stuck in trucks at the local treasure yard to replace the ones I bent to hell.

    New speakers

Yeah, they should be 4x6s. It's not too horrible to replace them in the rear. Getting those ******* clips out of the slots, that are around the back window is the worst part. Just take your time and think it through. And brute force will break the tabs off of the plastic panels. It was well...

    Any solutions

Can you loosen all of the other bolts associated with the mount, quite a bit? Then put the stubborn on in and tighten it all down after? Sounds simple, but that is what I would try first... Edit: Oh, you mean the control arm bolt?

    1991 C1500 in Florida

Thanks Sean! I learned from someone on V8BUICK to try to do something with a project every day, even if it's a little thing. Not that I can make that happen all the time, but it does keep me pretty motivated. Plus, I wanna drive it as much as possible!

Thank you! Fortunately, here in Florida, the trucks are pretty faded out, but rust isn't a huge issue underneath. Most of the trucks I found out there are in better shape than a lot I've seen on the road!

In order to fix the damn water jacket plug in the head, I had to remove the inner fender. I knew it wasn't in the greatest shape, when I bought the truck. Has a good sized hole in it from a leaking battery years ago. So I decided that since my favorite EZ Pull treasure yard was open today, that...

Weekly update: I've been working since the last update, on putting the AutoMeter oil pressure and water temperature gauges in the truck. Been waiting on parts here and there, as this mod is fighting me all the way (it's always the simple ones). Oil pressure gauge was easy, even though I gacked...

Try to take the bracket off the stock line and use it. I had to adjust the location of that bracket on my stock replacement lines. You can gently open up the part that bends around with a hammer and chisel. To put it on the replacement line, just gently squeeze it back together with a c-clamp or...

    Led gauge bulbs

When I rebuilt my moonie gauge cluster, I just replaced all of the bulbs with theses: www.amazon.com/dp/B08VS52KCG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 I haven't had any issues yet, though I did add and extra ground wire from the back of the cluster to the metal bracing for the dash. I also...

Tonight I took care of a few small things on the truck. First, the door panel clips were wasted, and the door panels kinda flopped around and vibrated pretty bad. A couple days ago I bought some clips from O'Really Auto Parts that I thought would work, and they didn't. Found these clips on the...

Complete Exhaust System From the Head to the Bed 1990 C1500 Single cab Short bed

I replaced from where the cat used to be, back. It required piecing together 3" pipes, 3" pipe with hanger, 3" inlet / 2.5" x 2 outlet muffler, Flowmaster tail pipes, a bunch of lap band clamps, a couple of butt clamps, and a few hangers. It did require come cutting, drilling, measuring...
