    New Belt. The tensioner is very strong, possibly overly strong, but I’ve heard many people say the tension is high on these. The other pulleys seem to be fine, but I’m going to check them again. Would you suggest anything other than just spinning them by hand?

    Also, sometimes the volt meter wavers up and down a volt or two.

    It’s definitely the alternator itself. I can remove the single-wire plug and the noise stops.
