    Suspension parts questions

I planned on keeping the lowers and repainting changing bushing & ball joint. Mainly cause the price of replacement & finding a direct replacement I’ll share some pics soon. The uppers I was thinking ball joint & bushing replacement but since mevotech is considered a stock replacement I may just...

    Suspension parts questions

Yea it’s a K1500 98 4WD I still have the complete placement arms in the cart (uppers) easier probably would be to just swap them out. But I also did want to keep things as stock as possible and I wasn’t sure if it was more valuable to do so or if it even really mattered . I have pictures on my...

    Suspension parts questions

Was curious if getting a complete upper arm replacement was a better choice or keeping the arms stock and just replace the ball joints & bushings would be a better way to go. The lowers I’m assuming it would be easier & cheaper to replace the ball joint and bushing Edit: 98 K1500 silverado

The mechanic I took it to when I bought it was the person that told me the complete front end needed to be replaced. everything does look...

    Hindsight is 20/20

I’m not sure where a local driveshaft shop is. But if by loose you mean. Easily slide it on and off. Yes, definitely loose & when I spin one end , I can feel the grooves catching but you can tell it’s not tight

    Hindsight is 20/20

So the grooved part That slips into the grease fitting end of the driveshaft. That end also has grooves. that’s what it looked like after I broke it apart and cleaned it. What is the correct name for that area?
