    Metal specks in Oil

Hello again everyone I am restarting this thread because my oil analysis from Blackstone finally came in(25 days later ). It seems like everything is normal besides the increase in copper content. I will drive like normal until next oil change and send in another sample. Please let me...

    Metal specks in Oil

I had a lifter tick of sorts or a louding ticking sound that begins at start up when the outside temp was hot but it quickly went away(30 sec or less). I read online that dirty lifters could cause this so I decided to put a little into the crankcase, no more than a few OZ tho

I don't have an extra oil cooler, only the oil lines that run into my radiator. Also does anyone know how much an external trans cooler would cost? Couple forums said those help big time

Damn I was hoping it was something fixable like rod bearings, there's a copper sheen in the oil too so its possibly a bearing no?

Ill be sure to start using that then! I currently use Lucas oil stabilizer with 4.5 quarts oil and 0.5 Lucas. But it doesn't hurt to try new things as long as it helps the engine :)

I am hoping this car would take me through college so I would prefer the preventative maintenance route if possible.

    Metal specks in Oil

Thank you I'm glad to be here. I did write in the report about the MM and this oil was changed at the 3500 mile mark. I am going to replace and check the filter again at 1000 to see if any more materials have accumulated since the change.

I do have a slight lifter tick when starting the car but it goes away quickly(15-30 seconds). There is a slight tick at idle but you have to really listen for it and go under the car. I am a novice when it comes to working on cars but I have a good amount of tools and I'm eager to learn. How...

    Metal specks in Oil

Hello everyone this is my first time posting on this forum. I currently have a 350 TBI with a 700r4 transmission in my daily and recently I did an oil change and saw this in the pan. Some of the material is magnetic but others are not. I cut open the filter and found nothing inside of it. The...
