    100% sure, no. But I know therre is a coolant leak, and on startup I see "bubbles" around the flange on bank 2, and the exhaust has some steam in it. No exhaust gas in coolant. So I am going to repair the leak, and retest. It wouyld have to be done ayway

    1st gear= big lever, 4th=small lever. The bigger the lever the more weight you can move easier. HEat is the killer. So in OD, you could theoretically get to power band in OD going 90 with 18k, but it is not realistic. Heat would kill it. The power that would be nessessary would be serious.

    Stumbles on startup unless I give it gas

    check fuel pressure, verify with spec, not sure where it should be, check. fuel filter ever been changed. have you done a tune up in a bit? cam position sensor? (Under distributor cap) ICM and or distributor / cap I would look in that order, easiest to hardest. The cap could be corroded.

    I have a similar issue. I think it is the transmission, or perhaps more specifically, the Torque convertor. The "hesistation" goes away in neutral?

    I have a volant, but that is somewhat like factory, it gets air from the fender, which is colder than under the hood. Agreed overall. So are you saying you have removed the honeycomb stuff in your MAF? Please elaborate.
