Is the 700r4 what came in 88 K2500 4.3L V6 w/5 speed Manual? Someone mentioned an NV3500. Which one would be correct tranny for that year? Thanks- 88Coopertruck

88 K2500 4.3 5 speed
Grandson has 88 K2500 4.3 V6 w/5speed manual. Can anyone tell me stock transmission ID #? His transmission will not go into 1st or 2nd. Any ideas what could swap or suggestions on where to find rebuild? Thanks- 88Coopertruck
