    Heater Hose Connector

Well, I'm sure many of you know the pain of the quick disconnect heater hose fitting. Mine (1998 5.7 1500) was leaking so I went ahead to replace it. Tried to take it out nice and easy, but of course it snapped off, leaving the threaded portion still in the manifold. I purchased the special...

It might be time... 1998 GMC C1500 for sale

Truck is located in San Antonio. I've had this truck for 6 years and absolutely love it, but it might be time to move on and try something else. Lots of new parts and always well taken care of while I've had it. Less than two years/20k miles ago I took her on a 5000 mile cross country trip with...

    Aftermarket wheel questions

Hey guys, I'm debating buying some aftermarket wheels but I had some questions I hoped you could help me with. The truck is a '98 GMC C1500. I'm looking at various 15x8 black steelies with 3.75" backspacing. Two main questions: 1) most have hub bore listed around 3.3". I think I've seen that...

    Rag Joint Replacement

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while but the truck is still running. Can anyone give me any insight on rag joint replacement for a 98? Most things I see on this topic are just about swapping a shaft from a Cherokee into the truck, but since that only works for the older GMT400s it's not a ton...

    98 GMC C1500 - Texas' Finest!

Ok so maybe not Texas' finest, but I needed something to set it apart! Anyway like I said its 1998 GMC C1500, about 215,000 on it right now. I've had it since about 170,000. 5.7 with 3.42s from the factory. Always surprised how peppy it is even with the 3.42s and 31" tires, way snappier than...

    Interior door handle broke

So I go to get out of my truck today, it's a 98, and the interior door handle just snapped off as I pulled it. Has this happened to anyone else before? Any word on how tough it is to replace it? The thing feels solid, I'm surprised it broke.

    Control arm scoring brake rotor?

What the heck is going on here? It looks like the lower control arm is pitting the rotor on the passenger side, but why? And the angles of the balljoints, granted the ground slopes a bit left to right there, but it still looks a bit off.
