Options for a modest lift / leveling kit. 2WD

Thanks for the input. I’m coming to that conclusion, but I only wanted 2” of lift to level the truck without adding lifts to the rear springs. I wish I could find 2” spindle lifts somewhere. Unfortunately I guess they’re not very popular. Most folks want to lower their trucks rather than raise them.

Options for a modest lift / leveling kit. 2WD

The wheels came from a wrecking yard with no center hubs. I think they came off a ‘95 Tahoe. They were seriously in need of refinishing and paint, which I did. My original center caps from the factory plain-Jane steel wheels were shot so I bought some new center caps on eBay. (or Amazon… I don’t...

Options for a modest lift / leveling kit. 2WD

Hello wildfire. I have a 1990 two-wheel drive (C1500 Silverado). All I wanted to do was level the truck by raising the front end 2". I left the rear end at stock height. Therefore, I installed a 1" metal spacer kit on top of the front coils and this raised the truck the 2" that I was hoping...

    GMT400 2WD Lift Guide.

Thx for all the information. If I want to lift it 4” there seems to be some very good options. I’m just trying to level the truck. However, I’d like to eventually get rid of the 1” spacers and find a spring for leveling.

I’m kinda new to all this. Maybe I’ve missed it. However, I’ve been doing a lot of internet research and found a lot of companies but they all deal with lowered trucks and lifted 4WD.

Alignment after front end leveling kit

Yep, that’s what I’ve been finding. My plan at this point is to continue adding spacers, probably 1/4” at a time until I can correctly adjust caster and camber.

Alignment after front end leveling kit

Yes, the knockouts have been removed. I have looked into offset upper control arm bushing but couldn’t find any for two wheel drive. Lots of stuff is available for 4WD, especially lifted 4WD.

Alignment after front end leveling kit

I have a 1990 C1500 extended cab 2WD Silverado. I put a leveling kit on the front, which was a 1” steel spacer on top of the front coil springs. This gave me approximately 2.5” of front end lift. Unfortunately, after that, the best caster I could get and still maintain close to 0 degrees camber...
