I’ve been offered a 6.5 swapped 88k 2500 for a cheap price, should I buy it?
We love our 1994 K2500 and the 6.5T. Not noisy at all with the factory supplied suppression blankets. it's loud if standing right outside it, not inside it.- DDTurbo

1998 6.5 2Dr Tahoe
We love our 94 K2500 6.5T powered Suburban. If that Tahoe was right and near I would own it too! Great mileage and decnt power for the fuel it uses. Twice drove around the entirity of Lake Erie and didn't stop for fuel.- DDTurbo

Different tire size on front and back
The OP's tires are close enough for less than ideal traction surfaces. I have a set of radial 480/70R-30 that I replaced for 16.9-30's on rear of my tractor. They are slightly larger diameter but, also have more wear than the front 11.4-24's. No problem.- DDTurbo

Well, if you must, the favorite around here is a seasonal oiling with new bar chain oil. -

I can only tell you that if you have a special vehicle, to keep it a long while, you must never drive it between Thanksgiving and Easter. Our 1994 Suburban has never been on the road during the "off season" and all the paint is original. And no rust below. -
