Wheel spacing info for lowered trucks
I thought I found some wheels and tires 20X8.5, 5.5" bs, with 245/40-20 front, 20X9.5, 6" bs, with 275/40-20 rear. I placed the order then they called and said they are out the fronts with a 5.5" or even a 5.25" bs. Is a 6" bs too much on an 8.25? I have been searching months for wheel, back...- ShanMan

Very nice work! I have read through this entire thread at least three times and I did not find anywhere which you mentioned your wheel sizes and backspacing. If you could post those sizes up I would greatly appreciate it. I am guessing 20 X 8.5 and 5.25" backspacing?- ShanMan

I did plan on cutting about a half coil on the front springs to get it at the height I like or getting some 3" drop springs. I will most likely be cuttin. I don't think I will be bagging this one. I forgot to mention I did order some drop shocks Pro Comp 420500 for rear and DJM 1315 for front. The flip kit came with shock extenders but no shims. Do I still need to use the shock extenders with the shorter shocks? Thanks for the help.- ShanMan

Been searching but can't find the correct answer to my problem. Here we go. 94 RCSB currently have DJM 2" springs, 4" shackles and hangers.Tires 295/50-15, 245/60-15. Want to go lower so I bought a DJM flip kit FK1025-6, DJM 1" lift shackles and 2" drop spindles. Not happy with my wheel and tire...- ShanMan

Well here it is. Not the most elaborate bracket but it gets the job done. I used an old chrome alternator bar that iv'e had for about 20 years just laying around in the bottom of my tool chest. I knew I would find a use for it. Eventually.- ShanMan

94GMC RCSB CS130 to CS144 swap help?
It was 200.00. Which to me seemed a bit much for the amps but the dudes at the shop were super cool and helpful. I like to keep it local when I can. I got the bracket on I just need to go pick up a belt. I'm thinking K060970 or K060975. About 1 1/2" longer than the K060956 might get me there...- ShanMan

Went to the local alt shop and this is what they recommended. One wire alternator similar to a 21si. It looks more like a larger 17si to me. Custom built for high output over 150amp. Should be fine for the mild system and HID, fog lights. Now to fab up a support bracket and most likely get a...- ShanMan

OK, so my alternator crapped out. I have the 4.3 V6, alternator mounts on driver side, one wire harness. Instead of replacing the Delco 10480094 cs130 100amp I was wanting to swap to a cs144 from the wrecking yard and buy a 240amp high output kit from www.aspwholesale.com.
