OBS only , painted interior pics

I'm thinking of doing a two tone grey and black interior in my '93 Blazer. My interior is currently grey and I plan on spraying the center part of the dash (glove box, radio panel and dash vent area) black as well as the plasics on the door panels. How does the plastic dye hold up on things like...

Source for new OBS 4X4 lower control arms?

I guess I'll just post my progress in this thread instead of starting a separate build thread. The front end is completely put back together (FINALLY!!!). I just need to sort out the stainless brake lines. Right now they'll rub the tires when the wheels are turned all the way, they look like...

    4wd Hub Replacement

Just finished doing a full front end rebuild on my truck. I must say this write up helped ALOT!!! The only issue I need to resolve is the routing of my new braided stainless brake lines. Looks like they might rub the tires in turns.

Source for new OBS 4X4 lower control arms?

Finally getting back on track here. All balljoints have been removed from the control arms. I took my time and drilled through all the rivets on a milling machine at work. Working in a metal shop has it's advantages, I guess. I'm having the old bushings pressed out and new ones pressed in...

    Newb here

I'm thinking of just getting 2" rear shackles and keys for now. Maybe decrank the keys a bit for some slight rake (1/2"-1" tops). I kinda like the old school muscle car lean.

    Newb here

Sorry 'bout that. I'll shoot some for ya (really, I will). I'm replacing balljoints, control arm bushings, hubs, calipers, rotors (drilled and slotted), stainless brake lines and possibly lowering keys and shackles (trying to convince the o/l that I need to lower it). Tie rod ends and idler arm...

Source for new OBS 4X4 lower control arms?

I tried a few things on one of the lower arms so far. I cut the head off of one rivet and tried a hammer and a punch. Yeah, right! Then I tried with an air chisel. Still nothing. Then I tried drilling halfway through it and back to the air chisel. Still nothing. I'm gonna go into work on...

Source for new OBS 4X4 lower control arms?

Yup riveted. I wish they were pressed in. I think they changed to press in balljoints in like '95 or '96.

Source for new OBS 4X4 lower control arms?

The replacement balljoints I got need to be bolted in where the rivets are now, can't just press out the lowers. I guess I'll just take my time and get the rivets out 'cause I ain't spending that much on new arms just to save myself some work. I can only imagine what a shop around here would...

Source for new OBS 4X4 lower control arms?

I apologize for the long read/rant! So I'm balls deep into rebuilding my front end. I have both sides completely torn down. The last step was removing the lower control arms so I can replace balljoints and bushings. The drivers side came apart with no problem. Released tension on the t-bars...

    Bleeding ABS brakes

I'm trying to find info on swapping an NBS master cylinder into my truck. I know I would need an adapter for one of the lines. Anyone have specifics on this swap, like part #'s for the NBS master cylinder and what threads do I need to adapt from/to?

    Bleeding ABS brakes

I'm going to be doing alot of work to my truck in the coming weeks, a complete front end rebuild and new brakes. Possibly a new master cylinder as well. I want to flush out the brake lines because I'm sure it's never been done before. Can I use a power bleeder on it without screwing up the ABS...

Would I need to have a chip burnt?

I'm really looking to do a plug and play swap with more power. I need to read up on the 5.3 and 6.0 swaps to see what exactly is involved. I don't want to break the bank, either.

Would I need to have a chip burnt?

Yeah, I figured as much. Does the ECM in a '93 control the tranny, too or is it a seperate control module? In other words, can I have the chip programmed to control my shift points, speedo etc...?

Would I need to have a chip burnt?

I got a line on a 383 stroker for cheap. Question is, would I need to have a chip burnt for it to work properly in my truck? Here are the specs I got from the seller. 9.25:1 compression ratio High performance rod bolts and nuts Performance valve springs with retainers High volume oil pump...
