Upgrading from 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton leaf springs

One-ton springs won't fit in a half-ton or a 3/4 ton as they're considerably wider. Unless someone cut and re welded all the brackets to the frame, it's simply just not possible. And you wouldn't have the brackets for the over-load pack. 3/4 ton springs would fit, but definitely not one-ton springs.

Put 1/2 ton springs & torsion bars under a 3/4 ton Burb?

Put regular 4ply tires on it (like you'd put on a half-ton) instead of the 10 plys that are probably on it now, lol. That's way easier than changing the torsion bars. Half of a vehicles suspension, or not, is in the sidewall flex of the tires. Also lower profile tires make the ride progressively...

    Softer torsion bars?

Any update? My take is that the tires are what makes the ride stiff or not, a stiffer vs a softer sidewall. Half of your suspension is in the tires' sidewall flex.... and being a 2500 it probably has 10 ply, load range E, tires which ride like bricks... try a set of regular 4 plys like you'd put...

    Z-height (stock torsion bar setting)??!

I know this is way late but it might help somebody else.... in the case of control arm bolts, they should be tightened at ride height, whatever that may be for you. If you're leaving the springs as they are.... tighten at that, if you make changes to the ride height.... loosen and retighten at...
