    Need to replace gear box on my 95 c3500 CCLB, I have a lead on a new GM 26087034 steering gear box. Would this be better than an after market one from NAPA, Orielly or AutoZone? The GM was discontinued to 2005/2006 timeframe.

    I had to replace mine on a 95 c3500 cclb that was leaking for over a year. Picked one up at Pick A Part, put it on without messing with the brake master cylinder and hasn't leaked a drop. Picked up an ATEAM gasket kit for the leaker, but have not put it in yet.

    Replaced the leaking o-ring and fiber gasket with the gm kit. Took about 30 minutes or so, cleaned all the gunk off the cooler lines and mating surfaces. No more leaks. Guess it wasn't the rear main seal after all.

The upper (small) bushing is worn/broke so that the pin is against the outer edge of the hole (does not appear to have elongated the hole), the lower (large) bushing is also broke and the lower hole on the body...
