    Front Coilovers for GMT400 < $350

for one thing, the f body cars came with stock struts, basically a coilover at the bottom connection. the lower control arm was designed to support all the weight in one small shock size spot, rather than spread out over a large coil spring area. plus f body cars are much lighter than 1/2 ton...

    Front Coilovers for GMT400 < $350

all that you said is correct. what you fail to realize is, the oem spring sits in special designed cups in the lower control arm holding up your vehicle at ride height. you can remove your factory shocks and the height will not change, they are only there to stabilize the spring action. however...

    Front Coilovers for GMT400 < $350

all the weight of the front end is placed on those (4) shock mounting bolts... i WOULD NOT think this is safe. any pothole could ruin your day with your shock falling out the bottom and spring dropping down, you would bottom out and could lose control. safety first.

    How to: Replace blinker lever

the lever simply pulls out. if you need to replace the turn signal cam switch, you will need a steering wheel puller, lock plate remover tool and a socket set. the lever controls the cruise and the cam switch controls the blinkers, two separate plugs and circuits so fixing one will not fix the...

    Sierra's Crew Cab Project!

niiiiice! I had to replace the rear window in my work truck when I got it. I went to the salvage yard and tried cutting one out with a box cutter. I got half the bottom cut but took forever and used like 5 blades, had to go home and get more. When I got back, I got the blade started and tapped...

    Cablguy's "White Lightning" ... 1997 Chevy Silverado

BR = Baton Rouge, LA. my bad. Yeah I was a sub-contractor for Cox Communications, that was one of my favorite jobs but they cut our "codes" 4 times in the few years I worked there. That was the only job that I took a pay cut every year, sometimes twice a year. You're in-house tech, you have it...

    6x9s in ext cab

yes, sorta. the 6x9 mounting screws go through the plastic and through the metal behind. the 6x9 sits on the plastic but is physically supported by metal so it will not fall out or wear out the plastic trim. its a solid mount and when done right, actually looks good. be careful not to cut...
