AD230 should be the 130amp alt, you can also look at the AD237 that's the 145amp alt. The AD244 is a 160amp alt but it's getting hard to find them in 4pin style anymore as the alts and parts for them(from Delco) have long been discontinued. The updated design everyone is switching to is...
I didn't ever realize they'd been removed until a moderator PM'd me about it, I'd always been using their page to update codes since before they were removed, so i guess the old favorited link never expired.
Any shifter that's top loader style, will sink further down thru the floor.
Any shifter with linkage style, will need readjusted.
Any shifter with cable style, will work fine with lift so long as there's enough cable slack.
Yeah, the last vehicle I had with 8's in the doors, had to pull low pass down to around 170hz or so, just so they wouldn't pull from the 6.5's mounted flush in the dash. Hence why I planned to do 4's firing at me, because firing up cuts out alot of the strength/volume.
12v would be my preference but finding the elusive last year model with all the design issues corrected is a long term waiting game. Found one but they'd let it sit out and get rust in the cylinders. So it's currently just getting the 96 6.5td for now until I can get an 07+ 6.5td, since...
It just means it won't be a high powered fully active speaker system, just a lower powered passive 3way speaker system. Most likely will consist of a tweeter and 4" on the dash, and 6.5" in each door, all on like 600w or less.
This truck is going back to it's former glory with the best Lund products I can find, without using the parts that just look stupid. It's also getting a mild drop just enough to tuck the tires & rims on the rear and tuck tires up front, along with a mild 3way front stage and subs in the...
Figured I'd update the forums on the projects that are finally coming off the back burners after 8+yrs.
This is a 94 1ton dually, and it's getting a heart transplant from Casper (the 96 Work Truck that got totaled a few years ago).
Eventually, if all puzzle pieces fall into place correctly...
I'm glad you mentioned the Cruze-in, I always forget about his events. Need to get the Green Goblin (95 Choo Choo customs ECSB) presentable, and also get the 96 6.5 swapped into the 94 CCLB so we have a tow pig for the projects.
Ofcourse you do, a day off to get it in the booth and get panels pulled, then another day sanding and priming, then another day painting and clearing, then another day of reassembly. Just leave it in the booth from start to finish so it stays dry.
The corvette wheels are 5x4.75, whereas the truck wheels are 5x5 pattern. So you'll need either billet or steel(preferably) adapters to go from 5x4.75 to 5x5
Re: draggin95's comment about 24s looking donk'ish when at ride height.
You think 24s are bad, one of my employees just got 26s and wants me to fit them to his 98 rcsb and still tuck without rubbing at full suspension squish AND full steer lock. Basically going to have to rebuild firewall...
