The filter will unscrew and drop down a couple inches but won't come out without unhooking the exhaust and loosening the header.
It is a gen6 454, all stock internals.
That's a possibility. I would probably have to cap off the oil cooler ports so the remote filter setup could be plumbed to the oil cooler. Otherwise there would 4 oil lines in a small amount of space.
I had a motorhome that would vapor lock in the summer, I replumbed the fuel system, keeping the fuel lines as far away from the engine as possible, and that fixed it.
