    Any guys towing with a 1500 5 speed anymore?

    I prefer towing with a manual. Never had any issues with my NV3500 either. I’ve towed my car from TX to FL and back. I’d guess between 5500-6000lbs. Truck is a 350 5spd, 35” tires and 4.56 gears. Getting up to speed, you’re not gonna win any races, but once it gets up to speed, it’ll hold speed...

    I tried searching but didn’t see what I was looking for... I ordered some new 4/1 leaf springs since my 3/1 are completely worn out.. what lift points do y’all use? Just put the jacks under the frame by the body mount and under the rear axle and just do one leaf at a time? Thanks?

    I tried searching and couldn't find anything so I'll try here. 1995 k1500 nv3500, I finally got my speedo reading correctly, (after 35's and 4.56) now the only issue is that the shift up light flashes in 5th when driving highway speeds. Is it possible that because the rpm's are so high computer...

    Bushing on the pedal could have broken too. Although probably wouldn't account for that much movement.

    Superlift pulls right bad

    Mine pulled bad to the right too when I did mine and had it aligned. Went to another shop and alignment fixed. Find a better shop that does a better job. It's not your work it's theirs.

    Just buy axles without the abs rings. ABS is done through the wheel bearings not the axles.

    I've got a TrueTrac in my truck, and I'm running a synthetic, and have been for over 35,000 miles. No issues at all.

    What are ya'll getting for mpg?

    1995 K1500, 350 TBI, 35's 4.56 gears with a NV3500... I'll get 12-13 mpg. Doesn't matter if it's city or straight highway. 90% of the time I'll get 13's.

    I plan on getting a quality brake controller. Now that I'll have a trailer with brakes, even though it's only on one axle, I can order or add more on the second axle. Any recommendations on quality units? Also is there a write up on how to install them? I've never messed with them before.
