    windage tray with stroker

    Will it hurt to leave it off? The ARP main studs aren't long enough to clear the rod bolts without them contacting the tray. This is the only engine I have built with a windage tray so I doubt it is a necessity seeing as we have high horsepower motors without them. What is the function of it?

    383 vortec stroker. stock intake and full exhaust with lt headers. 9.773 static compression ratio and 7.965 dynamic compression ratio. will it still be okay for pump gas with iron heads and what octane should i run?

    i had 315's on mine with just a crank and i bought shocks for a 2-3 lift to make it ride better. doesnt rub after a little trimming on the edges of the lower valance. i think this route looks best but i like the stuffed tire look. my sig has pics of the set up.

    they are hydraullic roller. ill check for play in the rollers. i would just get new ones but this build is really on a tight budget so i dont wanna spend what i dont have too.

    Lock up converters

    Im not 100% sure but i think you start crusing around 60 and tap the breaks and if the rpms jump up you have a lock up and its functioning properly

    i already have the higher lift heads from a motor i built last year, i thought with the higher lift and shorter duration it would preform better. and with the extra 33 cubes it would act a little milder than it is described.
