    Mean Green/VH Coachworks....

Time to set the record straight. I read through this thread and there is a ton of wildly inaccurate assumptions and blatant lies. First off, I came back on this forum after an extended absence in February or march of this year with a 100% honest explanation of why I was gone. I always...

    Mean Green's 1990 Silverado Build

Yup, that was mine! It didn't sit very long after it was finished, I believe it sold about a week or so after I listed it.

    Mean Green's 1990 Silverado Build

Well I thought I'd let you guys see a GMT400 build I did last fall, this one was a simple flip. And this was not done like we do for show car or custom builds, so keep that in mind. The truck was a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ECSB 4X4 with a 350 and 700R4. Took about a month start to finish...

Tyler, I'm sorry that your having issues with your harness. I've talked to you countless times on the phone when you where having issues, and I had told you a few things to try to diagnose but you had not gotten back to me with the results. I told you that if it was the harness I'd replace it or...

NEW! Big 3 Wiring Upgrade Kits

Just because I don't post everyday doesn't mean that I don't come on and read the forums. I don't have the time to be on 2-3 hours a night like I used too, I work 16 hour days at the shop almost everyday so my free time is kept to a minimum most days.

    Oil capacity 5.7 TBI?

Well the "jugs" of oil are usually 5.1 quarts, so don't worry about it; a little extra oil won't hurt anything. Now if you added an extra quart, that'd be another story lol

    rough running when weather changes

X2. It's most likely no coincidence that it started right after the new distributor was installed, your better off with a delphi or delco or even a used GM dist. before a house brand in my opinion. Also have you checked the timing? It's possible that the timing was never properly set after the...

    Good Clutch

Honestly, I've had good luck with Napa brand clutches. There just a stock replacement, but I have had good luck with them and I've probably installed them in 2 or 3 vehicles over the last few years. Hell I just put a new Napa clutch in my 79' Jeep CJ7 this winter, and it works flawlessly. I mean...

:word: Removing the bracket can really help things along too.

    Extremly confused, NEED HELP!

No, swapping a motor in no way will cause a ring or stem to go bad. BUT stranger things have happened, it could be a weird coincidence that it just started smoking now. Have you did a compression test to see if there's a cylinder with lower psi then the rest? Granted the it'd be really bad to...

    Ticking sound when accelerating

This. A ticking sound that is most noticeable under acceleration is generally an exhaust leak. Most likely the donut gasket at the collector where the manifold and Y pipe meets, I would check those first. Could also be a cracked manifold, or hole in the exhaust system some where.

    Stereo system

Inifinity makes a pretty decent speaker, I think that you'll be happy with them! Installed a set of Infinity 6X9's amplified in a build we did a few years back and they sounded great!

HELP! can't get one line off and the other wont go back on.

X2 take a vise grip after the stripped fitting, just don't collapse it. The line that the threads aren't catching on, just work at some more. The fuel lines can be a PITA to get started into the TBI, you just have to play with it a bit to get the fittings started.

It's most likely within the DDM Harness, I don't believe in talking badly of other peoples products. BUT I've heard of that happening time after time, from numerous people stating that the DDM (Or anyother low end import harness) harness failing. If you have any questions, feel free to ask anytime!
