NEED HELP: Trouble removing manual transmission

No, I finally got a day off to get back to it tomorrow. I tried to get mine out for 3 days and nothing, then had to go back to work.

Which 5 speed trans

I have a 1994 K1500 with a 5.7 and a 5 speed. How can I tell which trans it has, so I can get the right amount and kind of fluid because I'd like to change it.

Brown wire charging issues.

Thanks for all the info, it had been a few days since I was able look on here. Yep, I had read too many horror stories about running a excite wire without a resistor. The painless wiring kit comes with a new plug and 820ohm 5v resistor. I was going to go that route but I was afraid I'd screw...

Brown wire charging issues.

I've tried it, but didn't know the actual plug was problematic. I'll replace it, they're cheap. At this point I have replaced the alternator, all cables and the battery, so what's a few more dollars. Thanks

Brown wire charging issues.

Out of curiosity, how long have you ran it that way? I thought of doing that, but when I looked it up to see if it could be done I ran into people on forums saying that their voltmeters shot up to 19 and killed their alternator. At this point I'm ready to try anything. Thanks

Brown wire charging issues.

I have a 94 K1500 with a 5.7 cs130 alternator with charging issues. The gauge says that it's charging around 8-9 volts. I have done online searches and it seems that the brown excite wire that comes from the cluster is a major issue. I have taken out the cluster, cleaned all connections...
