I tested the relay to the best of my ability, but understanding how the electrical components work is really beyond my pay grade. The pump is also in the tank. It's a high pitch whining that could be heard before startup and while it was running. sounds like a loud mosquito.- NoahNeedsHelp

I just hooked up the fuel pressure gauge, cranked it, and had ZERO reading. Interesting, when I initially turned, the engine coughed like it had a drop of fuel. Maybe when I unscrewed the test port, fuel in the line moved down. Either way, subsequent attempts were just clean cranks, no coughs or...- NoahNeedsHelp

Yeah I was told the high pitch meant it could go out any minute or go on for years, for me it was about 6 months, if in fact it is the pump that's responsible for the no start. I parked my truck, ten minutes later it cranked but wouldn't start. I used to be able to hear the high pitch whining sound of the fuel pump when I turned the key on without starting the engine.
