    ATF Is backwards compatible so putting Dex 6 in is not a problem.

    I'd get some cheap oil and a good filter (wix 51522 fits that truck) and just change it every couple thousand miles a few times and go back to a normal oil change interval

    Ive had a bad pressure manifold switch cause similar issues before is the only reason i mentioned those Pids or Channels to be selected for datalog

    If the turbo setup is of proper selection, there is no comparison to anything else you have experienced. Don't go extravagant either. Simple turbo setup with the right torque converter and cam will make you a believer.

    You can easily do a 383 with the 5.3 no problem. Can even use stock 6.098" Gen 4 rods with a 4" crank with the right pistons. Are you planning on putting turbo on the 383 or just running it N/A? The last 383 i did went into a 2005 silverado crew cab 4x4 with a 78mm turbo. With 4.10s and 33"...

    Running a heavier oil

    on the LS engines that have a slight lifter tick, i drain the oil and put 4 quarts of cheap Dex III ATF in and let it idle for a couple hours. Drain and fill with whatever oil is on sale and drive it. Most of the times it will cure the lifter tick for a few months.

    Dynomax universal ultra flow 17519

    Ive used the 17233 along with a Vibrant resonator in a S10 with 5.3 and it was very nice and tame with a nice sound. I have the 17235 on my 2500HD without cats and its still nice and tame.
