    1991 Chevrolet Silverado (TX)

Well, it's time to move on. I've had a lot of fun on the forums with you guys and it's been a blast working on this thing and shooting the breeze with everyone but life is telling me I need to let go of her. My 1991 Chevrolet Silverado is up for sale, you can find the build thread in my...

    Wiring Gremlins >:(

Good call, I've been meaning to get my hands on a multimeter anyways

    Wiring Gremlins >:(

So I have a problem with my 1991 C1500. I have a short or something that's causing battery drain somewhere. I pulled the engine harness as I had a couple of frayed wires. Repaired them, and put it all back together. Put a fresh battery in, and within a week it's dead again. I also took out the...

    TBI to Carb?

You're right, I should've specified. I discovered the no crank issue was related to the main harness. It was ever so slightly loose so it wouldn't crank. I ended up running the middle bolt in as far as I could get it to go without it feeling stripped, then I got it to crank. The "no start" was...

    TBI to Carb?

Scratch this, I figured it out. Out of all the pictures, the injector pigtails weren't included in the picture. Turns out I had the pigtails swapped on the injector. Swapped them and it started right up. TBI is strange, but it runs again!

    TBI to Carb?

Alright, I know I'm gonna catch flak for this but at this point I'm at my wits end. My truck came from it's previous owner with a strange wiring harness. Lots of sketchy clamps, some frays, etc. I recently took it out to repair some spots and redo some connectors. Took plenty of pics...

    Strange Grey Box

Hey everyone, I'm back from the dead! But my truck sadly isn't. Got a wiring short somewhere, and I think I found it in my engine harness. Currently removed and exploring options to have it rebuilt, but I wanted to ask about this strange grey box I found amongst the wiring. I've never seen this...

    NightRunner's 1991 C1500 Build (Off-Road Edition)

Jesus, probably the last update of 2019. The idler arm was replaced, and most of my sensors were as well aside from my oil pressure one. I also had the inevitable quick disconnect failure on the intake which caused me to spill coolant all over the engine. That took a few months of small work...

Swap "Moonies" for later year "Sweep" style

My buddy just picked up a new dash for his truck. His truck is sweep style cluster and the dash was a moonie style cluster. IIRC, the connector in the rear was entirely different. Would be a perfect chance to run a classic dash set of gauges.

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

Where did you buy your spacers from?

Good Evening TBI people that knows more than me...

I always say this because it was a miracle fix for my truck. I had the same issue with my truck, exactly the same. Replaced the inline fuel filter underneath the truck and the issue disappeared. Ran like a brand new truck.

ADDING USB TO THE CENTER CONSOLE

Sure, not that hard. I've never done it on my truck, but I replaced my old defunct cigarette lighter in my GST with a powered USB outlet. Use something like this, make a hole in the back of the console, wire it up and you're good to go...

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

I have no reason to believe it's ever been changed out or modified in any manner. Lol just strange

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

I'm jealous of you guys getting that nice offset with your 1.5" spacers. My rear end must be tweaked or something since 2" spacers don't even slightly push my rear wheels out.

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

I wish my rear wheels looks that good. Even with the 2", mine are still sunk in severely

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

2" for sure, the difference in offset from front to rear with spindles is insane.

    The forgotten gem

Those wheels look pretty rare, I can't say I've ever seen them before. I wouldn't let them go for cheap. Nice find!
  23. NightRunner

    Big problems!

Looks like you just need to replace the spindle, and you should be good to go.
  24. NightRunner

    Big problems!

That looks like a solid 4/6 or 5/7 drop, could have lowering spindles, springs or even aftermarket control arms. Best thing to do is take pictures of it all and post them here. Someone should be able to identify them.
