    my 96 sub sometimes wont produce heat, i found that i can remove the vvacuum line from the valve and i get heat, i assume there is some type of vacuum valve controlled by the knob on the dash? i think i saw something on the firewall that the vacuum line led to but it was too cold to mess with it...

    its not expensive, they did my '15 just by plugging into the OBDII for about $250 , but they were in my area for a couple days, for my 96 i had them make a computer for me and send it because they cannot do those through the port, i think that was $450?

    the 96-97 is different from the 98+ i hear, my scanner doesnt want to connect to my 96 but readily connects to any other vehicle

    i have the new injectors and BB tune too, bb tune helped w shifting but the biggest difference i think i did was new magnaflow cats and downpipes in addition to the exh.,,, a manifold back system, , maybe mine were collapsing internally, but that helped alot, if you still have the old original...

    the GM performance intake in that summit link is the way to go, i put vortec heads on the original motor , had it on the 90 suburban in my pic, and a bored TB , intake bell, and bigger injectors from Turbo City in Anaheim

    i went with the plastic fel=pro set for the lower intake, the old ones that came out were failing in multiple places , mostly at the cooling passages, hope they last a decade or more, but now that ive done the project once i could do it again alot faster if i had to knowing whats involved

    an update on this project, i put about 5 miles of driving on it after my work replacing the intake gaskets and injectors, taking it to the shop for the timing, and set off for a 2000 mile journey to california from Chicago, dad thought i was nuts, i looked it over with a flashlight for leaks...

    how hard is it to swap engines.

    i started pulling the 350 out of my 90 2500 4x4 and realized the hoist wouldnt lift the motor high enough to clear the rad support, had to stack alot of lumber and cinder blocks under the legs of the hoist, not the ideal way to go about that
