    Need a TBI wiring harness

Does anyone have an extra TBI harness they'd like to get rid of? It's too dang cold to go to the junkyard and pull one off so I figured I'd see if someone wanted to sell one before I did that. Please PM me if you have one, I prefer it come from a 350 and wouldn't mind getting it with the...

    The Stupid Engine Questions Thread

Do you have provisions already machined and drilled for the GM spider? If so the difference is probably a savings of hundreds of dollars. If your block is ready you can go to the junkyard and grab all that stuff from a 96-00 vortec truck or SUV for the cheap. I think you need to get lifters...

    Rebuilt 700r4 problems

Hello all, I recently went through a 700 r4 and replaced all the clutches and steels and band. Everything was in good shape except for some burned clutches. Put it back together and am having a problem with up shifting. I remove the tv cable at the throttle body and it will stack shift I...

Thanks for replying anyway, the problem turned out to be the balancer mark was a lil off. I crawled under the truck and used a bottle of whiteout and marked it real good and retimed it...ran like a champ.

Ideas on rocker arm stud removal

Anybody, got any tips on removing a broken rocker arm stud? Truck started idling funny at lunch today, I had it towed home and took off the valve cover, cyl 3 exhaust rocker arm was laying at the bottom of the head. i guess there's about half inch left of the stud, how can I remove it?

Yeah I'm gonna reset the timing to 0, I guess I can check it real quick tomorrow by unhooking the EST wire and seeing where I'm at. I hadn't thought about the dist turning while I'm tightening the bolt.

It does seem to run better the farther I get from 0 degrees with the EST unplugged. But when I tighten the dizzy and plug in the connector it starts acting stupid, idle drops from 1k down to about 500 rpm's.

Stock 1995 Head Unit with subs is possible?

I've never used hi level inputs on an amp, do they really sound ok? For the box, I would get the dimensions of the space underneath the seat to see if you can build a box with enough airspace for two 12's, usually they need about 1.5 cubic ft per sub. You might get more low's and a better...

I'll have to go to autozone and get a fuel pressure tester, I may try to swap the distributor with a spare one I have. Anyway i could be off 180 and the think still run and drive?

I ran the VIN and know it came with a 350, I have the old block at the machine shop getting cleaned up right now, I'm gonna call up there and get the number off of it tomorrow. I drove it with the o2 sensor off and the SES light comes on after driving it a while....truck only seems to get to...

Ok, I bought a 92 RCSB from wrecker yard wanted a project and got a deal...or so I thought. Needed a motor so I got a 350 TBI from the junkyard guaranteed to run, while I rebuild the original. Finally got it running and driving but it runs like dog-piss! I can't figure it out, the damn truck...

    Service Engine Soon light

SES light gone....so far. I replaced the MAP sensor and plugged CTS back in...don't know why they made the connections soo cheap on the CTS!

    Service Engine Soon light

I thought that was the coolant temp sensor. Now that I think about it, I did have to mix and match from 3 intakes (long story) to get all the EGR stuff together..all 91-92-93 tbi 350's.

    Service Engine Soon light

Is the coolant temp near the thermostat or the one near cylinder 1?
  22. B

    Service Engine Soon light

Ok, I did the paper clip method earlier. Got codes 15 and 33, 15 says coolant temp sensor and 33 says MAP...I got another map at pull a part, I'll try that one tomorrow.

    Service Engine Soon light

Ok, so my motor swap drama continues....Got a service engine soon light that won't go off. Got everything hooked back up after switching, set timing to 0 degrees. Truck runs and drives pretty good, I did break the tube that comes out of the drivers side valve cover and goes to the throttle...

Guess I poked a hole in my tranny cooling line

Fast, you got a pic of yours? I'm trying to visualize what happens in place of the cooling lines going into the radiator.

Guess I poked a hole in my tranny cooling line

It's about 6 or so inches from the radiator, it's the bottom line. Tranny cooler is a thought, how much work is it to add one in?
